Yardage and turnovers are OU’s own raw offensive output from CFBD — there’s no matching “yards allowed” figure (see method page); defense PPA above is the real, opponent-adjusted defensive number the Power Index uses.

Iconic moment
Back-to-Back Heismans
Kyler Murray took the baton from Baker Mayfield and won the Heisman himself, making Oklahoma the first program ever to produce back-to-back Heisman-winning quarterbacks. The Sooners lost to Texas in the regular season and then beat them right back in the Big 12 Championship, a split series that says a lot about how volatile that rivalry can be in a single year. A CFP semifinal loss to Alabama in the Orange Bowl closed the book, but the two-Heismans-in-a-row story is the one this season will always be remembered for.
First school with back-to-back QB Heisman winners (Mayfield '17, Murray '18). Lost to Alabama in Orange Bowl/CFP semifinal.
