The Comeback Big Eight Title

Two early losses, to Stanford and then to Texas, looked like they might sink the season before it started, but Barry Switzer's Sooners answered by winning eight games in a row and running the conference table. A dominant Orange Bowl win over Florida State closed out the year with OU ranked third nationally, proof that a rocky start doesn't have to define a season. It's the kind of resilience "Sooner Magic" gets named after.
