The Game of the Century

Thanksgiving Day, fifty-five million people watching, and Oklahoma trading haymakers with number-one Nebraska in what's still argued as the greatest regular-season college football game ever played. Greg Pruitt and Jack Mildren gave OU the lead late, but Nebraska's Jeff Kinney found the end zone with barely more than a minute left to steal it, 35-31. Oklahoma answered by torching everyone else on the schedule, including a Sugar Bowl rout of Auburn, but "Sooner Magic" needed one more year to finish what this game started.
